Insights from the Global-PPS Annual Meeting
Following our initial coverage, we are pleased to share this in-depth look at Global-PPS's annual meeting, held on 17 April in Munich, Germany. With over 270 participants joining from around the world — in person and online — the event indeed served as a vital forum for healthcare professionals, researchers, and collaborators to share experiences, tackle shared challenges, and draw lessons from one another.
From Policy to Practice: Dr. Amy Rahmadanti on Global-PPS in Indonesia
In Indonesia, Global-PPS is now part of the official guidelines of the Ministry of Health in the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Following Dr. Licia Limato’s testimonial on how Global-PPS is applied in practice, Dr. Amy Rahmadanti now provides insight into how the tool is used at the policy level. Dr. Rahmadanti is a public health expert at the Ministry of Health and has been closely involved in implementing Global-PPS in Indonesia.
Annual Global-PPS Meeting and ESCMID Global 2026
On 17 April, the Global Point Prevalence Survey community gathered for its annual meeting, held in collaboration with bioMérieux at the opening of the ESCMID Global 2026 congress in Munich. With 240 participants joining online and 34 attending in person, it was a vibrant and inspiring event centred on the theme 'Insights into antimicrobial consumption for enhanced antimicrobial stewardship: Findings from the Global PPS.'
