\u00c1frica<\/a> (ICAN) organiza regularmente congresos centrados en control y prevenci\u00f3n de infecciones. El Congreso ICAN 2025 puso un fuerte \u00e9nfasis en la gesti\u00f3n antimicrobiana y diagn\u00f3stica y, por esa raz\u00f3n, Global-PPS, en colaboraci\u00f3n con bioM\u00e9rieux, tuvo un impacto significativo en el 9\u00ba Congreso Internacional ICAN en Ciudad del Cabo, Sud\u00e1frica (29 de junio al 2 de julio de 2025). Con una presencia creciente en pa\u00edses africanos y un enfoque ampliado en atenci\u00f3n ambulatoria, nuestro proyecto contin\u00faa empoderando a las instituciones de salud con los datos y herramientas necesarios para promover el uso responsable de antimicrobianos. Las discusiones tambi\u00e9n exploraron futuras posibilidades para integrar variables adicionales de IPC en el m\u00f3dulo de pacientes hospitalizados de Global-PPS.<\/p><p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es ICAN? <\/strong><\/p><p>Desde su fundaci\u00f3n, la \u201cRed de Control de Infecciones de \u00c1frica (ICAN)\", con sede en Ciudad del Cabo, Sud\u00e1frica, ha crecido sustancialmente en los \u00faltimos 15 a\u00f1os y se ha convertido en la voz de la Prevenci\u00f3n y el Control de Infecciones (PCI) en \u00c1frica, con m\u00e1s de 2118 miembros desde 2015 de 54 pa\u00edses de \u00c1frica y Europa. ICAN capacita a profesionales en programas de control de infecciones y ha desarrollado centros en toda \u00c1frica para garantizar que la capacitaci\u00f3n en PCI est\u00e9 m\u00e1s cerca de las diversas regiones.
