Global-PPS?<\/strong><\/h2><p><strong>Marije Baan: <\/strong>Trabajo en MSF como m\u00e9dico. De junio a diciembre de 2021 estuve en Bentiu, Sud\u00e1n del Sur, donde particip\u00e9 en el proyecto Global-PPS.<\/p><p><strong>Kate Clezy:<\/strong> Me un\u00ed a MSF a principios de 2019. Me interesaba c\u00f3mo pod\u00edamos realizar encuestas de prevalencia puntual en pa\u00edses de bajos ingresos; el proyecto Global-PPS parec\u00eda muy \u00fatil desde esta perspectiva.<\/p><h2><strong>\u00bfPuede explicar en qu\u00e9 consiste la colaboraci\u00f3n con el proyecto Global-PPS? \u00bfY cu\u00e1les son los beneficios?<\/strong><\/h2><p><strong>Kate Clezy<\/strong>: El Global-PPS es una herramienta que nos ayuda a comprender c\u00f3mo se usan los antibi\u00f3ticos en nuestro entorno hospitalario. Para simplificar, es una forma de recopilar informaci\u00f3n sobre qui\u00e9n est\u00e1 tomando antibi\u00f3ticos y por qu\u00e9. Nos da una visi\u00f3n general de las pr\u00e1cticas de prescripci\u00f3n de antibi\u00f3ticos y de qu\u00e9 tan bien est\u00e1n documentadas en la historia cl\u00ednica. Con un buen n\u00famero de puntos de datos, es posible sacar conclusiones, retroalimentar esa informaci\u00f3n a los prescriptores y buscar \u00e1reas donde las pr\u00e1cticas puedan mejorarse. Nuestro objetivo final es asegurarnos de que los m\u00e9dicos est\u00e9n bien informados y puedan usar los antibi\u00f3ticos de manera \u00f3ptima al tratar a los pacientes. Los resultados del Global-PPS pueden ser de gran ayuda al planificar mejoras en la prescripci\u00f3n.<\/p><p><strong>Marije Baan<\/strong>: Me pareci\u00f3 muy importante explicar por qu\u00e9 estamos recopilando datos. Motivar a la gente a participar en el PPS es esencial. Algunos de los prescriptores se hab\u00edan acercado a m\u00ed para plantear preocupaciones sobre c\u00f3mo se usaban los antibi\u00f3ticos. Los datos recopilados a trav\u00e9s del G-PPS fueron muy importantes para apoyarlos con evidencia.<\/p><h2><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es el objetivo final de usar el Global-PPS para MSF? \u00bfQu\u00e9 esperan realmente lograr?<\/strong><\/h2><p><strong>Marije Baan y Kate Clezy<\/strong>Nuestros esfuerzos se centran en el uso correcto y responsable de los antibi\u00f3ticos. Intentamos animar a los prescriptores a examinar sus procesos de prescripci\u00f3n de antibi\u00f3ticos. Se trata de concienciaci\u00f3n. Diferentes equipos de personas (profesionales m\u00e9dicos, farmac\u00e9uticos y de enfermer\u00eda) necesitan ser conscientes de estos procesos. Construye una comprensi\u00f3n de lo que sucede en sus instalaciones.<\/p><h2><strong>\u00bfAyud\u00f3 Global-PPS a mejorar la prescripci\u00f3n adecuada de antimicrobianos en su entorno, hasta ahora? \u00bfQu\u00e9 le result\u00f3 \u00fatil? <\/strong><\/h2><p><strong>Kate Clezy<\/strong>: Cuando realizamos la primera encuesta en Bentiu, solo se documentaron unos pocos indicadores de diagn\u00f3stico. Gracias a Global-PPS, la documentaci\u00f3n mejor\u00f3 realmente con los a\u00f1os. Esto es importante porque si mejoras la documentaci\u00f3n de los indicadores de diagn\u00f3stico, lo m\u00e1s probable es que mejores la transferencia.<\/p><p><strong>Marije Baan<\/strong>Durante nuestro trabajo en Sud\u00e1n del Sur, encontr\u00e9 que la mesa de ayuda de Global-PPS fue muy \u00fatil y siempre estuvo disponible. Kate Clezy es una especialista en enfermedades infecciosas que trabaja como Asesora de Resistencia Antimicrobiana y Enfermedades Infecciosas para MSF Holanda desde mediados de 2019. Su trabajo en MSF incluye la identificaci\u00f3n de \u00e1reas de mejora y esto incluye la participaci\u00f3n y el apoyo en auditor\u00edas, incluyendo encuestas de prevalencia puntual. Tiene un inter\u00e9s de larga data en la seguridad y calidad del paciente, particularmente en las \u00e1reas de administraci\u00f3n de antimicrobianos (AMS) y prevenci\u00f3n y control de infecciones (IPC).
