del proyecto Global-PPS public\u00f3 un nuevo art\u00edculo en <em>Medicina Tropical y Enfermedades Infecciosas<\/em> <em>Enfermedad<\/em>. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar los patrones de prescripci\u00f3n de antimicrobianos en pacientes con COVID-19 en varios hospitales multidisciplinares rusos, y cuantificar la prescripci\u00f3n en relaci\u00f3n con indicadores de calidad.<\/p><p>La Encuesta Global de Prevalencia Puntual (Global-PPS) permite la recopilaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n estandarizada sobre el uso de medicamentos antimicrobianos (MAM) en pacientes hospitalizados. El objetivo final de Global-PPS es informar el desarrollo de medidas espec\u00edficas como parte de programas locales de AMS y monitorear la efectividad de su implementaci\u00f3n. El grupo de estudio del proyecto ruso Global-PPS realiz\u00f3 una encuesta de prevalencia puntual entre junio y diciembre de 2021, en seis hospitales de diferentes regiones de la Federaci\u00f3n Rusa (Krasnoyarsk, Mosc\u00fa, Omsk, Saratov, Smolensk y Yakutsk). Se informaron los patrones de prescripci\u00f3n de MAM en salas de COVID-19, incluyendo pacientes con infecci\u00f3n sospechada y confirmada por COVID-19 que recib\u00edan al menos un antimicrobiano para cualquier indicaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>Los resultados del estudio muestran que los patrones de prescripci\u00f3n de antimicrobianos en pacientes con COVID-19 var\u00edan considerablemente entre los hospitales de Rusia. La prescripci\u00f3n de antibi\u00f3ticos sist\u00e9micos es alta, especialmente en las UCI, con una participaci\u00f3n liberal de agentes de amplio espectro como cefalosporinas de tercera y cuarta generaci\u00f3n, fluoroquinolonas y carbapen\u00e9micos. La alta tasa de incumplimiento de las directrices en la terapia antibacteriana representa un problema en algunos hospitales. La vigilancia y la gesti\u00f3n del uso de antimicrobianos deben aplicarse a la atenci\u00f3n de pacientes hospitalizados durante la pandemia de COVID-19 y posteriormente. Este estudio proporcionar\u00e1 una base para el desarrollo de actividades de gesti\u00f3n apropiadas, adaptadas a las pr\u00e1cticas locales de cada hospital multidisciplinar del proyecto.<\/p><p>La pandemia de COVID-19 tuvo un grave impacto en el sistema de salud de la Federaci\u00f3n Rusa. Se han registrado m\u00e1s de 17,6 millones de casos de COVID-19 y m\u00e1s de 365.000 muertes en los \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os.
