Esto se encendi\u00f3 a ra\u00edz de mi interacci\u00f3n con el Profesor Azmi Hassali, quien vino a Pakist\u00e1n para una conferencia. Durante nuestras discusiones, comparti\u00f3 la idea de la \u2018Encuesta de Prevalencia Puntual\u2019 en la que ya estaba trabajando en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Profesor Brian Goodman de la Universidad de Strathclyde del Reino Unido.<\/p><p>Tambi\u00e9n sugiri\u00f3 que contactara al equipo de Global-PPS de la Universidad de Amberes, B\u00e9lgica; y ellos me guiaron a trav\u00e9s de la herramienta Global-PPS. La herramienta Global-PPS revolucion\u00f3 por completo mi investigaci\u00f3n de doctorado, ya que demostr\u00f3 ser un punto de referencia para ayudar a monitorear las tasas de prescripci\u00f3n y resistencia a los antimicrobianos en entornos con recursos limitados. La herramienta en l\u00ednea basada en software es extremadamente f\u00e1cil de usar y se puede interpretar muy f\u00e1cilmente. Tambi\u00e9n se puede usar para correlacionar patrones de prescripci\u00f3n de antimicrobianos entre diferentes regiones del mundo en un tiempo limitado simplemente introduciendo los resultados observados. Los resultados destacaron que existe una preocupaci\u00f3n considerable en el uso actual de antibi\u00f3ticos en hospitales en Pakist\u00e1n. Los esfuerzos de administraci\u00f3n, en particular, deber\u00edan centrarse en el uso de ceftriaxona, especialmente cualquier uso profil\u00e1ctico, la duraci\u00f3n de la profilaxis y las razones del uso de antibi\u00f3ticos en primer lugar. Adem\u00e1s, se deber\u00eda implementar la r\u00e1pida conversi\u00f3n a antibi\u00f3ticos orales donde sea pertinente. Global-PPS demostr\u00f3 ser una herramienta \u00fatil para cuantificar el uso de antimicrobianos y proporciona una l\u00ednea de base s\u00f3lida. Bas\u00e1ndonos en nuestros hallazgos, hemos publicado varios art\u00edculos de investigaci\u00f3n en revistas reputadas revisadas por pares (Ver\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Zikria_Saleem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">aqu\u00ed<\/a>.
