This document, published on the occasion of the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council, underscores the importance of drive-AMS in fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and tackling inappropriate antimicrobial use with a step‑wise behaviour change approach.

Interestingly, the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, hosted by WHO, was created 26 years ago to give Europe’s health policy-makers and their advisors the evidence they need to design and implement the best possible policies for their countries. drive-AMS’s role aligns perfectly with these objectives, enhancing surveillance and promoting antimicrobial stewardship through training and expert support. Contributing to this Policy Brief, which clearly emphasizes the critical role of innovative projects like drive-AMS, is a major achievement. Congratulations to all drive-AMS partners!
